WHAT IS DENTAL GOLD?

Dental Gold is a dental alloy that is used in the dental field for bridges and crowns. It is NOT gold, it just holds a gold color similar to 10k yellow gold, it has no resale value. It comes in a 14K gold plated finish of your choice over sterling silver. This particular grill has the potential to tarnish after a month or two and will require cleaning, and a new electro gold plating for the customers who purchase dental gold (silver w/ gold plating). This service can be purchased on our website here for ONLY $100.

If a customer smokes with Dental Gold Sluggs, it will tarnish quicker. We recommend dental gold for those looking for an inexpensive grill for photo/video shoots, costumes or events. Dental Gold will still have you lookin' flashy just as if it was real 22k gold!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 10K, 14K, 18K, AND 22K SOLID GOLD?

10K gold is the least expensive solid gold and the strongest against bending, but tarnishes easier than other higher karat options.

14K gold is the best value for a consumer on a budget. It has medium hardness, very bright shine and is durable.

18K gold is more expensive, has a very bright luster, is very durable and doesn't tarnish easy.

22K pure gold being the most costly but has an unmatched color and shine. It doesn't tarnish Even though it is very soft and bends out of shape very easily.

WHAT ALL IS INCLUDED WHEN I ORDER?

When you place an order with us, we include everything you need to get slugged up! The box that you receive will include: 4 sets of molding putty, 4 dental trays (2 for the top & 2 for the bottom in case you mess up one of the molds), along with a priority box fixed with a prepaid return label. Once you take the 4 different impressions of your teeth, the hard part is done! All you have to is box up the molds and drop the priority box off at your local post office so that we can get you slugged up ASAP!

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I RECEIVE MY SLUGGS?

All orders are shipped out through USPS every business day at 2 PM CST. We do not ship out on weekends or holidays. Orders received after 2pm CST will be shipped out the next business day. We cannot begin processing your order until your payment is cleared for shipping.

Orders within the US should arrive in 3-5 business days* once shipped out. Orders to Canada usually take about 2 weeks. Orders everywhere else will usually take about 2-4 weeks for delivery. Please contact us for a more detailed shipping quote for international orders.

*The molds will arrive in 3-5 business days within the US, but the entire process will take a few weeks depending on the volume of orders and how busy our jeweler is. If you are an international customer, shipping times depend on where you are located and the entire process may take 1-2 months depending on shipping and customs clearance times.

ARE MY SLUGGS REMOVABLE OR PERMANENT? DO I NEED A DENTIST TO TAKE MY IMPRESSIONS OF MY TEETH?

All of our Custom-fitted Sluggs are removable. This allows us to make custom fit sluggs specifically for YOUR teeth so that you have the perfect smile with these in as well as without them!

All of our orders come with a free molding kit and step by step instructions so that you can take your own impression at home in less than 10 minutes. However, if you desire to go to a dentist and have a professional impression of your teeth taken instead, we will also accept these.

WHY HAVEN’T MY SLUGGS COME YET?

All of the Sluggs sold on our website are Custom made and require some time to Mold, Cast, and do Diamond settings (if required). Please be patient during this process and always feel free to call, send us a text , email or chat with us to discuss any concerns or time constraints. We would be more than happy to give you any updates regarding your order’s timeline.

CAN I GET A CUSTOM DESIGNED SLUGGS THAT ARE NOT LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?

Yes! If you would like sluggs that are not posted on our website, please email or text us a picture of the grill along with which metal you desire the grill to be and we will get back with a price for you as soon as we can.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY CUSTOM SLUGGS?

Gold is a precious metal that has a deep lustrous yellow color. When other metals are mixed in to make lower quality karats and gold colors (i.e.10K, 14K, 18K, white gold, rose/pink gold) the metal is no longer pure. The lower the gold karat is the faster the metal will tarnish when eating, and especially with smoking. Smoking is never encouraged by us but if you are a smoker we recommend a higher quality gold such as 14K, 18K or 22K Gold to avoid tarnishing or polishing regularly. A daily cleaning with our Premium Jewelry Cleaner is recommended, followed by a warm water rinse. After the rinse, patting dry with our Jewelry Polishing Cloth will have your sluggs shining like crazy! With the proper care and maintenance your grill will last you a lifetime!

CAN I GET SLUGGS WITH MISSING TEETH?

Yes! As long as the teeth on either side of the gap are healthy and strong enough to support the sluggs, we should be able to make your sluggs. As each person’s mouth is unique, please contact us to see if we can work with your specific case.

CAN I GET SLUGGS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A GAP?

Yes, you can get sluggs even if you have a gap between your teeth. Depending on the size of the gap, there are different options available such as making the teeth a bit larger, adding a filler, or making them as separate pieces.

CAN I GET SLUGGS WITH A PERMANENT RETAINER?

Yes, you can get sluggs even if you have a permanent retainer on your teeth. The sluggs will still fit your teeth flawlessly.

HOW LONG WILL MY SLUGGS LAST?

Our Custom- Fitted Sluggs are made from only the finest .925 Sterling Silver, Solid Yellow Gold, Solid White Gold, and Solid Rose Gold so that we can assure you that they never fade or turn colors like some of our competitors that use under-karrated gold.

On our yellow and rose gold plated sluggs, the plating life is normally 2-3 years. However, the lifetime of plating on each set depends on many factors such as: how often you wear them, how well you take care of them as well as how well it is cleaned and maintained.

To prolong the life of your sluggs, we do NOT recommend eating, drinking, smoking, or brushing your teeth in any of our sluggs especially if they are not solid gold. Doing any of these with the  sluggs in your mouth introduces them to a harmful environment and can damage them.

CAN I GET CUSTOM FITTED SLUGGS IF MY TEETH ARE NOT STRAIGHT?

Of course! All of our sluggs are custom fitted to an impression of your teeth. In many instances, we can even make the sluggs so that your teeth look straighter with them.
